Can I cancel a payment once it is sent with Zelle®?

You can only cancel a pending payment if the recipient has not yet enrolled with Zelle®. Is your payment still pending? Review the activity page, choose the payment you want to cancel and select the appropriate option.

If the recipient is already enrolled with Zelle®, the money is sent directly to their account and cannot be cancelled.

This is why it’s important to only send money to people you trust, and always ensure you’ve used the correct email address or U.S. mobile number when sending money. If you sent money to the wrong person, please immediately call Member Services at 800.443.6887 so we can help you.
