What is a an Estate Account?

Getting Started

You’ll need the following to open an estate account:

  • Letters of Administration naming the Personal Representative(s)

  • Tax Identification Number (also known as an Employer Identification Number, EIN) issued by the IRS for the estate. Application for EIN available at irs.gov.

  • Death Certificate

  • Valid Photo ID (unexpired Driver’s License, State ID, Passport) for each Personal Representative
